CSR

A couple of years ago a CSR group was set up to bring the organisation to a higher level of corporate social responsibility. IGO’s CSR starting point was subsequently determined; finding a balance between the three pillars: people, planet and profit. With its activities, IGO also very consciously focuses on adding value to people, planet and profit (economic profit).

People

Each and every day people and society occupy centre stage at IGO. The core values IGO holds for our employees are ambitious, attentive, honest and trustworthy. Our employees reflect the same diversity that can be seen in our society. Each individual contributes his or her own knowledge, experience and talents, thus improving our organisation.

For years we have been working in close cooperation with the Atlant Group, which guides people with limited access to jobs. IGO offers people with a disability or people that participate in a vocational rehabilitation programme, a meaningful daily activity in a pleasant working environment.

Planet

With respect to the environment IGO launches all kinds of initiatives. This is visible in the IGO showroom with our CSR items, in our production facility with e.g. LED lighting and in areas provided with sensors that turn the lights on and off automatically. Additionally, this becomes evident from the use of solar panels and our sustainable machinery. There are charging points for electric cars and we stimulate the use of bicycles by means of a bicycle scheme. To put it briefly, CSR has our attention!

Profit

IGO considers corporate social responsibility to be important. It is significant that we keep the CSR concept in our minds in everything we do as an organisation and as employees. This applies to the selection of (international) suppliers, as well as to the production of goods and the delivery of services. We think it is important that IGO not only judges on the basis of financial criteria, but also reckons with sustainability and social aspects.
